My Songwriting Timeline

March 2020

I departed from formal education for the first time and delved into Ableton, utilizing a fold-out picnic table and a decade-old Macbook prone to crashing during song exports. My focus was on crafting rap beats, with a separate focus on trying to look cool in photos.

April 2021

I initiated my musical journey by freestyle rapping over my beats, a practice that swiftly transformed into storytelling rap. I think this preference for lyrically rich songs has persisted in the music I create today. I went back into the education system as well, only for a brief period though.

April 2022

Approximately a year into my rap journey, I embraced the guitar. Immersing myself in diverse artists and genres, this gradually steered my musical direction away from rap toward a funk-rock-infused style. During this phase, I delved deeply into exploring rhythmic textures and recognised the significance of a memorable chorus.

October 2022

Upon adopting the guitar, I felt that my academic commitments were hindering my musical pursuits. Consequently, I made the decision to depart from school (once again) and establish my studio in the vibrant heart of Fremantle, WA. The unique space began to shape the nature of my music, leading me to explore highly conceptual lyricism.

Present Day
Hey

Since then, my primary focus has been achieving consistency in my songwriting, generating a steady flow of 3-5 songs per week and handling their production from inception to completion.

The Future

Until recently, my unwavering focus was on sculpting the path to solo stardom, a one-man show in the spotlight. But behold the evolution! I've sprinkled a dash of magic onto my trajectory, moonlighting as a maestro behind the scenes—now a dual-threat songwriter and producer. My aspirations involve crafting hits for musical titans in hotspots around the globe, turning my creative journey into a successful career in the limelight and behind the scenes.
